Tokyo

First stop Tokyo!

Even though this mega city is famous for all its flashy lights and attractions I think it was really the details of the city which made it special. People everywhere were so polite and helpful. The streets were some how miraculously spotless and clean. And what I liked most was the sounds of the city- people were quiet, the trains made cute happy noises, the pedestrian crossing lights sounded bird chips not stressful beeps and I don’t think I heard a car screech once! (omgosh right?)

It was also so easy to get lost in the big gardens around the city and swap instantly from being lost in nature, to being lost in the busy streets.

The Gardens were immaculately kept! And we soon found out why!

The weather was perfect on the days we spent in Tokyo. I think we were lucky enough to catch it at it’s best. When I returned to Tokyo at the end of the trip to fly back home, it was grey and overcast. It really felt like a different city.
